Today I was awoken with a startle. My phone rang and well... the magnitude of the week really hit me. As so many of you know the last week of July has not been one of our/my favorite weeks in a very long time. And this week had already started out with a minor glitch. Monday-I got to go visit my PCP (*again) but this time not for my ears. Nope, this visit led to me getting an Xray of my left knee due to my being a clutz and falling on it Saturday night; bruising and swelling and hobbling around are not a lot of fun! So, 1 shot in the arse for swelling, 1 ace bandage, and an Xray later (still waiting to hear back)...Im pushing through it. Tuesday- Took Miss Marina back to visit Her new Psychiatrist. He is awesome, he is ready with letters of support regarding the way the school plans on *assisting* Marina this school year. She even remembered to take several of her pictures she has been working on this summer (*per his request) for her Doctor to see. She totally melted His & My heart when she gave him one of her (and My) favorites to keep! Signed, Dated, and Beautiful! My Sweet Girl is Awesome! After the appointment I took her to Brunch At Cracker Barrel as am early Birthday surprise. As for today. The phone woke me up. Youd think Id be used to it by now. It was the nurse from Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital calling to do a VERBAL preop on Sean. Heres the deal: We are to be at Imaging at 7am Friday. We will meet EVERYONE That has a vested interest in Sean at that time. Then at 8am he will be prepped and ready for the cardiac MRI. It will take roughly 2-2 1/2 hours. After that a member (or more) of the team will discuss the findings (unless further review is needed) and Sean will be taken to recovery. They are anticipating discharge after monitoring Sean for a couple hours. Yep, $hit Just Got Real... Id be lying if I said I wasnt scared. Even though the potential out comes havent waivered. So, I am going to push myself cleaning today. Because tonight Megan is flying up to see us!!! And Help with Marina on Friday! Also today I will be thinking of a very Special Heart Warrior & Angel Ramsey and her Momma Teresa. They are part of the reason I have been able to remain calm ish to this point.
