Today I was downtown in front of Reminiscent Antiques and Collectibles and where there used to be a bench there was two cut off pipes sticking up out of the concrete. I was amazed that there was not any type of marker to warn individuals of these two pipes. They were toe stubbing height and I could visualize someone not seeing them and falling down especially during evening hours. I went and reported these pipes to City Hall. I am however, surprised that someone from the City or the construction crew is not more aware of the possibility of an accident and the potential for a very costly lawsuit. I might advise business owner’s downtown to take a look around each day and check for other accident possibilities.
