Today I was honored to join my friend and colleague State Representative Sid Michaels Kavulich as we acknowledged and thanked all of our veterans as well as all men and women currently serving in our armed services at a wonderful ceremony in the Borough of Dickson City -- hosted by the officers and members of the American Legion Post 665 as well as the VFW and other Veterans service organizations from the borough. We were privileged to pay particular respect to six Veterans -- all members of the Dickson City American Legion and all 90 years young -- and all extraordinary men. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Fortunately we are surrounded by fellow citizens who will never stand idle in the face of evil. We are all blessed by Providence to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Brave men and women have stepped up to secure and to preserve all the freedoms, all the privileges, all the rights and indeed, all the joys, we experience every day. Be forever grateful and never forget. Thank you to all our veterans and their families -- today and everyday. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
