Today I was ordered to change the 0 grades earned by about 60-70% of my RCSD students, the vast majority of which resulted from them not even attending one day of classes at LyncX or their home schools, to the RCSD minimum grade of 50%! Really? So does this mean I can stay home for the rest of my life and collect 50% of my pay? What a slap in the face to every student who makes an effort. Do the Feds and State Ed Departments know of and condone this? This is blatant grade inflation. Someone should look into attendance at LyncX as well, on a good day it might be 20%. The halls are in chaos, even when the kids attend there are no consequences for leaving class, running into and refusing to leave someone elses class, threatening each other and teachers. The administrations excuse? They are all special kids and have to be treated differently.
