Today I was pretty bummed... Shawnee has been rock solid over the last few months and has just kept getting stronger and is running solid 1D or top of the 2D with 30 runners to 300 runners.. Well... Today she had a meltdown before her run and then ran up by the first and up the fence before I got her stopped. Complete opposite of her style.. Shes a push style horse.. This is twice in a week.. Sun in Belgrade and today, she ran solid last night and win money.. Shes not showing any signs of lameness or sensitivity.. (1st thing I check) Its frustrating and definitely humbling.. On a positive note Frosty improved from last night (still not herself either)... Maybe its me.. Lack of sleep with keeping a kitten alive and everyday stress.. I truly think I need a vacation! James overseas, Kids, school, practice, games, training horses, personal horses, housework, upkeep around the place, bill paying, etc..etc.. Sunshine, beach time and cocktails sounds pretty fabulous!! Tomorrow is a new day.. Have a short memory on the disappointments and a lifelong memory of your accomplishments, big and small..
