Today I was supposed to get another round of shots in my back. After getting there and going through the process of admissions and waiting to go back and have the procedure done, I was informed that I had to be rescheduled because my referral had not been received. I was livid! I had not eaten or had anything to drink and I was actually shaking. Then I was listening to the radio NJ101.5 and they played old footage of 9/11… Once again my problems seemed small. My issues are inconsequential. I’m so glad to be alive! I did not loose anyone I knew personally that day, but there were people whom I had talked to that worked in the towers on a regular basis because of the account I was working on at the time… I’ll never hear those voices again. They seemed like nice people but I’ll never get to meet them. I always thought that someday we could sit down together for lunch or something. It’s not going to happen. I remember the fear I felt for my family and friends, our country, and the sorrow for those who were lost. I don’t know… Just remember to give an extra long hug to the people you love and be glad you are alive!
