Today I was surprised and honored to receive the Elizabeth Hoffman Award from the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists. Elizabeth Hoffman, was a co-founder of CANSAR, a non profit organization that brings awareness to radon and lung cancer through the voices of cancer survivors and widows. She fought lung cancer for 10 years and dedicated her life to bringing awareness to this issue. I am thankful and in her honor will continue this work on behalf of a healthier environment for my community on the Spokane Reservation. Lem Lempts!!!
