Today, I was surrounded by hope. It was a hope that was more - TopicsExpress

Today, I was surrounded by hope. It was a hope that was more palpable than the humidity, which had me sweating profusely. It was a hope that hung in the air, among the cries and conversations, among the giggles and scurrying feet. It was a hope that reached around the world and back again, gathering itself in a room filled with adoptive parents, adopted children, extended family, guides and medical personell. It was a hope that burns, fanned into flame by a variety of motivations and dreams, BUT ultimately by LOVE. There were happy greetings heard among mothers connected by their passion for found children. There, in the sterile environment of the process, I saw, once again, an overcoming love. It is a love that seeks that which is lost. It is a love that sees obstacles as stepping stones. It is a love that advocates for that which was abandoned. I was surrounded by hope, today...and even though I am in China, I was with my brothers and sisters, and I was at home.
