Today I was told of the countless riches to be had if I became a niche expert. I could expect an income of over 100,000 a year by following this formula and being in this group of people. I was invited to be part of an inner circle and I do, sincerely believe, that not everyone this millionaire speaks with is invited to join... perhaps I am naïve. She explained a lot and was very fun to talk to for awhile. She had the Oprah Effect she said. Millions of people love her and when she says something or someone is good, they believe her. For a mere $6,000 a year, which is with a scholarship-she would be waiving her half of the $12,000 fee that it typically is, I, too, could become rich and successful. I could be part of her inner circle and actually work for as an affiliate of hers in the future. My husband could participate, too, and not have to pay anything extra. Its a weird thing when opportunity knocks and you have no answer. Somethings gotta give, we cant keep doing what were doing and get ahead. Were barely floating now! I have seen this woman have that effect on people. She does have millions of followers who do put their trust in her. I sincerely believe she knows what shes talking about and I recognize the fact shes a business woman who also needs to make money to maintain her success. I dont believe its her intent to scam or harm anyone. She referred to the Bible story of the disciples who had been fishing but their nets were empty. Once Jesus entered and told them to cast again, their nets were so overflowing that they called others over to catch them, too. Thats how she says she sees her business, as an opportunity to help others achieve and become successful. And yet...if I had the extra $6,000 a year, I probably wouldnt even be considering her proposition. I love the idea of what shes saying, but common sense and the lack of money make it difficult to swallow it all. I would love to be more comfortable than we are now, but Im not sure this is the way to go at this time. What will I do? Its all still up in the air right now. Im leaning on the idea of letting this opportunity pass me by. Im not confident that our fam could make it through the sacrifices that $6,000 a year would require. Its a risk for us that Im not sure we could take. Though the return on investment would be wonderful, if it were guaranteed. The truth is that we all make choices in life. Every day were barraged with people telling us what we should do or what needs to happen. We havent always made the best decisions. Were trusting God to see us through this day...and the next. Things arent always black and white, cut and dry. We can trust that God has a plan for our lives and not to look back and second guess ourselves. Should I turn this opportunity down, I will not spend the rest of my life looking back and bemoaning the what ifs. Thats not a good way to live. We must look forward and keep our eyes fixed on Him. Choosing to trust...and continuing to pray. One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret,[a] the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” 6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
