Today I watched this program. In the first part Oprah interviews Tich Nhat Hanh. It is an interesting interview but if you are not interested you can go directly to the documentary where it is shown how meditation changed the life of some men in jail.....all of them with life sentence and some of them were in death row. There was one that specially touched my heart. He shared how his mother took him and his other siblings to some place and left them there alone to die because she did not feel she could raise them. This man killed a person....stabbed him multiple times. He said that meditation was harder than being in death row because he had to face himself......His transformation was really beautiful. A few years latter someone murdered the daughter of this inmate. No one told him.....he saw it in the news.... He explains how he was confronted with two choices hate or forgiveness....and he decided to forgive and love the one who killed his daughter.......why? His answer was simple I have to love him because he is a human being. Then I looked at myself and I realized that I had to love me....because I am a human being....just that is enough reason to love and to forgive...To judge myself, my past actions with the knowledge of today is so wrong and unfair..... Enjoy the documentary. Love to all María.
