Today I went to Port Adelaide to pay a speeding fine! Well thats where I used to go when I didn want to pay the full amount and wanted them to take it out of my pension each fortnight. Well, they dont let you pay it there any more, you can do it over the internet, so I had travelled all the way from West Beach to Port Adelaide for nothing. I sat in the car and rang the numbers I had been given to do it over the phone and did so.. All done. Well, it was a lovely day, so why waste the trip. I drove over the Birkenhead Bridge I think itt is called, taking photos along the way. I took a right and ended up by tthe river and tooks some photos. Then I saw the Birkenhead Hotel and decided to stay and have some lunch and maybe work for a while. I had a beautiful lunch $12.90 for fish and chips and smorgasbord salad and hot vegetables. Sat ou on a beautiful wide balcony and there is just a light breeze and it is beautiful. A squash to finish off, then down to work. Last week I spent some time with Collen Roberts helping her to alter a pattern for some comfortable house trousers for her. Took her measurements so I can do some patterns whil I am in WA and probably will have plenty of time to draft. Today, after my meal I got out all my drafting equipment and drafted some trousers for Colleen and gave her some instructions on the pattern about how to alter them to fit if she ever puts on weight or loses weight. If she gets used to using this pattern she can do her own pattern drafting whenever she wants to make some trousers. Id better go home now and get organised because Darren Gore is coming in this afternoon at 4.00 and I will be picking him up, so that will be nice. So a not so nice paying of the fine day has turned into a productdive and enjoyable day.
