Today I went to Youfit in Phoenix and I wanted to get my daughter - TopicsExpress

Today I went to Youfit in Phoenix and I wanted to get my daughter their month-to-month membership which states on their website is $10 a month. Seems like a great deal, but not totally. You have to pay for an initiation fee of $39 plus give them your 1st and last month’s fees, making the cost to sign up $59. Then after 3 months you have to pay for an annual maintenance fee of $39.99 a year, turning that $10 monthly membership into a more than $13 per month membership. Then after a year that $10 membership goes up to $15 a month, and don’t forget that maintenance fee. Plus if you cancel your membership you have to give them 30 days notice, plus you’re charged a $25 cancellation fee. I wanted to share this with you all because on their website it does not indicate any of these additional fees. Plus to add to that, there is no phone number listed anywhere to call their corporate office. My point in sharing this is an example of how we consumers need to educate ourselves so we can all make better choices. I personally still think it is a decent deal and I signed my daughter up but I decided to cancel my membership because it annoyed me with all of the nickel and diming fees.
