Today I went to a lunch with a friend of mine. As we were sitting a talking a deaf man came and handed us a card with a flag pin attached. It said, I am deaf and I sell this pin for only $2 to pay my living expenses. Will you kindly buy one? I did buy one, but thats not my reason for posting this story. As the man walked away I was so convicted because just as easily as I bought the pin I should have been able to pray for that man and he should have been healed. According to the Word, the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. And to demonstrate Gods glory He may have wanted to heal that man, but what did I do? I gave him $2 and sent him away. Isnt that what we do so often? We through money and words and Facebook posts at problems. We use human means to try and change spiritual problems. Friends, this should not be so. Get off the computer, shut your mouths, put your check book away. Id go so far to say put your opinion away. Put those things away and go pray and then, empowered by the Holy Spirit, you change your culture.
