Today I went to school for a validation and I passed. Yay. I Didnt sleep to make sure that I passed but thats not the best part. Ive had some personal concerns that I wanted to discuss with the student body counselor and I did well after the conversation was over she told me that she thought that I would be perfect to fill the open seat that Mercy College has for Student Diversity Leader for our campus and asked me if I would be interested in taking the spot. My schedule is tight as it is but this opportunity is mind blowing to me, out of all of the students in the entire Nursing program including the ones that have been there and are about to graduate they picked me. Im overwhelmed at just the thought. Its the fIrst time in my life that Ive had an experIence like it. Im happy, scared, intimidated and most of all proud. Ive done a good job in the past of making a fool of myself at times and showing my not good side in fact my down right worst side. Ive learned from my mistakes and Im putting my best for forward and the staff at my school notices. Wow. Thats all I got.
