Today I went to see the first showing of Despicable Me 2 and at my theatre they had a Minion Photo Booth (Also its free!) where I dressed up as a minion and got my picture taken in front of the photo booth and it was coool! Now I got there early so I got the best seat in the house before kids from Camp came flooding the movie room. Then about 20 minutes later and 5-10 minutes of previews later came the movie and it was so amazing! Now I won’t be giving away any spoilers (just some hints and a tiny one, but no Major ones)-It starts with a Giant Magnet taking the Antartica Secret Lab where they are working on the PX-47 (From what I figured PX is short for Polymorphism Extreme and in a scene shows a scientist test it on a bunny and turns it into a ferocious Purple killing machine-I feel so sorry for that bunny being tested on sooo wrong). Then it changes to Agnes Birthday Party where everyone is having a good time and Gru dresses up as the Fairy Princess (WHich was VERY funny, but he did it so to make his daughter happy) to wish Agnes a Happy Birthday when the Fairy Princess hired bailed out AND while the girls were having a good time Jillian talks to Gru about dating and some of the girls she picked out (Like the Ugly buck-tooth klutz and the cheetah girl later on-WHERE DOES she find these girls at Home Depot or the Bargain Bin?) Awhile later Gru is kidnapped by Lucy Wilde as he and two minions are taken to the AWL where he is recruited to find the villain who took the PX-47 and stop him and he’s located somewhere in Paradise Mall. When their set up at the mall they began to suspecting their targets to see who might have it and then enter Eduardo who invites them to his Cinco De Miyo party and when asking for cupcakes with the Mexican Flag HE RIPS OPEN his shirt to show the Mexican flag on HIS HAIRY CHEST! (EVEN made it move which was TOTAL SNASTY! I think my eyes almost burnt seeing that-Almost reminded me of that tiny second or two in How bad can I be when Aunt Grizelda was shaking her Booty-EWWW!) And when Gru saw him as EL Macho (Believed to have died in an extreme accident) they investigate his restaurant where they came face to face with a LOCO POLLO (Crazy chicken) and tasty Salsa. Meanwhile Minions are being kidnapped and taken to a beautiful paradise, but a shadow lurks with big plans for them. I gotta say my most favorite character in the movie is Lucy Wilde I mean she is like a wicked fireball full of energy and life and she is totally the Opposite of Gru (Who can be a total buzzkill, but as they say Fire and Ice right (Opposites attract if you say it another way). I loved how she totally showed off some of her karate moves when tackling cupcakes and Dave develops a crush on her (Dude she is not into you Dave and I totally said that in the theater) as well as her methods which are hilarious, yet awesome SHE EVEN Jumped out of a PLane when she thought about Gru and wanted to be with him. Eduardo is a very interesting villain (UNLIKE Vector who is just a wannabe)-He has class, style, INCREDIBLE dancing moves (And believe me MY JAW dropped when I saw him showing off some awesome dance moves in his restaurant it was totally insane even stunned and awed the girls in there that big Macho Libre womanizing Suave Fiend). Also he had a plan too-MUCH BETTER than Vector and he is a fierce man to not mess with especially if he has throwing knives. The animation in the film was AMAZING! I mean the detailing and the locations along with the music going along with it TOTALLY BLOWN MY MIND AWAY! It was pretty incredible! The plot, the fresh comedy and also the developing romance between Gru and Lucy (Which I dub Grucy)-everything about the movie was incredible! When it comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD you bet your Minion goggles I’ll be the first to buy it before anyone else! So for those who haven’t seen the movie yet or gonna YOU ARE GONNA BE BLOWN AWAY by the AWESOMENESS OF this movie. When it comes to great quality films Illumination ENtertainment delivers the details, the animation, the music, the plot-AND THE WHOLE Enchilada because they know how to make wicked films!
