Today I went to the Federal Building along with She Cat, Michael Walker Jr., Dave Davey D Cook, and Liz Derias to speak to Barbara Lee about the over-militarization of the police as well as the system-icism of police terror--system-icism is a new word I learned today from Dave Davey D-Oakland Cook...I like it, a lot...it correctly describes what we are fighting against. TERRORISM: a sense of fear & hopelessness purposefully instilled in a population for a political agenda. I am including a video to exemplify what I mean--its a video taken earlier this year when several California families of people murdered by police united with activists dedicated to fighting police terror to do a peaceful act of civil disobedience at the State Building were we refused to leave the building until we got a meeting with California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris, instead of being granted a meeting, the 7 peaceful protesters, plus our lawyer, Anne Weills, acting as our legal observer, were violently arrested & then sent to Santa Rita where the Alameda Co Sheriffs officers made sure we knew we were getting special treatment BECAUSE we were protesters--we were arrested at the State Building by SRT, the special response team, which is a highly funded & heavily weaponized branch of CHP whose job is to deal with protesters & terrorists. The action on Feb 13th was SRTs 1st one....watch....and then please show up tomorrow at the #Oakland #Marriott to protest #UrbanShield.
