Today, I will attend the burial of Marciliana Adungosi in Teso South District. Marciliana was the mother to the late Titus Adungosi who was a University of Nairobi student with whom I was detained in 1982. He later died in 1988 as a result of the torture we underwent during this time. I pay homage to this fallen Kenyan patriot. Without his sacrifice and that of other heroes, we would not enjoy the freedom we do today.
