Today I will dedicate every mile of todays race to three people - TopicsExpress

Today I will dedicate every mile of todays race to three people who inspire me: PARKER, age 11, continues to take on spinal taps and four hour infusions in stride, usually with a big smile, as he continues to fight Leukemia. As with every race since he was diagnosed in 2011, I will run for him. A dear friends husband, LANCE, a runner and young father to two boys, is battling stage IV throat cancer. Hes in the middle of chemo and radiation - its a very brutal treatment plan. But he is fighting for all he is worth and inspiring all around him. As a runner, I know he would give anything to just lace em up. I will run for him today. MEG Menzies, was an active runner and mother of three in Virginia who was killed by a drunk driver on a weekday morning run. She was training for the Boston Marathon with her husband, Scott. Monday in Boston will be an emotional day given what happened there last year. Inspiring stories abound and one will be of Scott completing their journey together on Boylston Street. Meg, Scott, and her three young boys will be in my thoughts today as I run for them. https://facebook/groups/megsmiles/ Its going to be an amazing run.
