Today I would like to share something not from the gospel but from the 1st reading from the book of Isaiah becoz i find it so reassuring and I quote some of the passages which really struck me. sa araw ng pagliligtas sa iyo ay lilingapin kita at tutugunin ang paghingi mo ng saklolo. Babantayan kita at iingatan. kung mayroon mang inang lumilimot sa kanyang bunso akoy hindi lilimot sa inyo kahit na sandali. These passages assure us that our God in his faithfulness, love and compassion will never forsake us. He will always be there for us at all times if we will allow Him to. He will comfort us and protect us from harm. The last quote however is more touching to me personally becoz he said that even if a mother forgets her child our God will never do that. For us mothers this touches our hearts so deeply coz as a mother we know that our love for our children is immeasurable, beyond compare. We can take anything, any pain intended for our child to be ours. A mothers love for her child is so great she can offer her own life just to save her precious precious child so much so that when a child does something very wrong or utter a a bad word against his mother it pierces our hearts. I would like to share also a very nice homily I heard at Peter Paul Tronos funeral mass yesterday at Philam. Fr. Louie said even if at times we dont understand and finds it so hard to understand why some things happen, he said everything happens for a reason. And our loving God in his mercy compassion and love will make us understand why it happened. Becoz in our moments of grief and pain He will be at our side to comfort us. So his message for us still in this world let us always do things with love for our families, for our friends and for our brothers and sisters. He quoted the very words of my favorite song and I quote we will only pass this world once and whatever good things we could do let us do it now becoz we will never pass this way again. I like it better in its tagalog translation. minsan lamang ako daraan sa daigdig na ito kaya anuman ang mabuting maaring gawin ko ngayon. O anumang kabutihan ang maari kong ipadama itulot ninyong magawa ko ngaun ang mga bagay na ito. Naway huwag ko itong ipagpaliban o ipagwalang bahala. Sapagkat di na ko muling daraan sa ganitong mga landas. Hindi ko alam why i really really love this song. Maybe becoz of its message. I am not perfect and will never be one but in my own little ways I try to touch other peoples lives by the little good deeds I do for them. No matter how small I always do it with so much love. Becoz in the end only LOVE will remain. Have a very blessed and happy Wednesday friends.
