Today I would like to use Facebook for the amazing ways its good for: to connect & help one another as a society. I ask for well wishes and prayers for Mikes like-a-sister Megans husband John who is in surgery this morning. He has been fighting cancer for a long time now and is about to undergo one of 2 surgeries to get rid of the cancer in his liver and lymph nodes. John is one of those people who is a rare breed. He is an amazing husband, father of 2 littles, and friend to many. He is a humanitarian who has done countless acts of kindness to help other people. I am positive that, while much of the work he has done has been recognized, an even bigger portion has been done anonymously. He is one of those people who really does make the world a better place. We need more people like the Donovan family in this world and this is why I am asking that you keep John and Megan and their two children, Jax and Skylar, in your thoughts and prayers. I have attached a picture of John saying goodbye to his daughter before leaving for surgery (traveled to VA from MA). In addition, Megan has shared this picture of Johns new friend, a little boy named Ben, who also has cancer and has been given only 6 months to live. It is heartbreaking. Their family is stretched and weary, their dad working 2 jobs. Please also think of Ben and his family during this time as they could also use all of the help and support they can get. THANKYOU! We have a God of miracles!
