Today Im sitting next to Brendas resting place. I envision her walking on the streets paved with gold, laughing as she walks beside the crystal sea, enjoying talking with her dad, grandparents, friends and of course our grandchild. I believe in Heaven, even though I cant see it yet I know its real. I know its real because Jesus said its real. We dont have to physically see Heaven or Jesus to know they are real. Hebrews 11 says faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen faith is what makes the unseen seen. It goes on to say, but without faith it is impossible to please God. I want to please God. I cannot earn His pleasure, I cannot earn His forgiveness and I cant earn His grace, but I can freely and humbly accept them by faith. When I accept Gods free gift of salvation I know my name is recorded in The Book of Life. I know I will see at the closing of my life, His face and my bride. I keep reminding myself Brenda is more alive now than she has ever been. The great evangelist D.L. Moody said Soon you will read in the newspaper that I am dead. Dont believe it for a moment. I will be more alive than ever before. On his death bed he said Earth recedes.... Heaven opens before me! Days before her home going, Brenda told us angels were in her room and she had seen Jesus that day. What a wonderful home going she had, to be escorted into the very Presence of God by Jesus Himself. So is Heaven real? Absolutely! Is my bride there? Absolutely! Will I see her again? Absolutely! Faith sees those things that our human eye cant see. When these eyes fail us, our eyes of faith see more clearly. Paul said set your eyes on things above where Christ dwells you cant see Heaven if your heart isnt looking for it. I will continue to live for Him and for that day! Love you Babe. Cant wait to see you.
