Today Im thankful for a God that never gives up on us. Ive been doing a lot of reflecting over the last couple of days. Ive been looking back at the last 4 years... Here is something that only a couple people know- there were times in the first two years where I would spend days praying and fasting to see if maybe I heard God wrong... When it was hard, lonely, painful especially when my heart would break over a teen who made yet another wrong choice- when some of the teens I loved just didnt seem to get it. I would tell God, Ill keep going, but just confirm to me that I heard you right... when he didnt confirm, I had to just stand on the promise he already gave, Ill use your book to reach incarcerated teens. As I continued to press forward we would have a Friday night where 6 teens would raise their hand to accept Jesus as their Savior- or a teen would open up and ask me to pray about something life changing- and I knew that I was where God wanted me to be....digging ditches. (which BTW is hard, back breaking, sweaty work) So today- if you feel discouraged I want you to know God never gives up. When they walked around the walls of Jericho for 6 days and nothing happened, it didnt mean God wasnt there, it just meant He wanted them to be built up for what was to come. Keep going- have faith that the journey to where God wants you to be is every bit as important as the destination. If you fall down, get up and march forward. Oh How He LOVES you so.
