Today, Inaugurated Advance Meter Infrastructure System at MEPCO Headquarters Multan. The objective of this system is to control line losses ,manage load and detect technical loss in the transmission system. It would also help to switch load to other feeder at time of fault in transmission line so that only minimum consumers are affected. In a pilot project it has also been observed that 26% line losses got reduced. In a possibly short time the system would be operational at whole MEPCO.
