Today Is Election Day For Encino Neighborhood Council Remember to VOTE today between 10 am and 4 pm at the Encino Community Center. Here are the details: You are encouraged to participate in the democratic process by voting on Sunday for the candidates of your choice for the Encino Neighborhood Council Board. Every two years, a new Board is chosen by Encino stakeholders so please join us: Election Day: Sunday, March 16, 2014 Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Polling Place: Encino Community Center Dance Room, 4935 Balboa Blvd., Encino There are 19 candidates vying for these Board positions; to view their names, statements, and photos, please visit empowerla.org/enc/encino-nc-2014-elections-2/ Any stakeholder who lives, works, owns property, or has an ongoing and substantial community interest may vote. Encino NC is a Documentation election, so voters must show identification and documentation of their stakeholder status. For examples of the required documentation, see the “Acceptable Forms of Documentation” posted on the webpage above. In 2012, only 271 voters participated in the Encino NC election; our goal this year is 500 – please help us achieve this goal by voting on Sunday! Also, you are invited to attend the monthly Board meetings which are generally held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., also at the Encino Community Center.
