Today I’m thankful that I’m a member of this sisterhood called women. I’m involved with a few different circles—our local church, my office, Girl Scouts, along with our neighbors, our old friends and new friends. I find myself constantly surrounded by the most supportive, encouraging, cheerleading, understanding, considerate, sympathetic, genuine, dependable women who all seem to recognize the best efforts and intentions in each other. I know you can’t paint everyone with the same brush, and there are some awful women out there, sabotaging homes, workplaces, and Junior Leagues around the country—but I don’t have any real association with girls like that. “The mommy wars” and all of its drama is really only an abstraction in my life, thanks to the wonderful women I call friends, colleagues, and sisters. I’m thankful for their support.
