Today Jana was recognized as a Health Champion by the Lakes Region Partnership for Public Health in the category of Food Nutrition. Jana is highly committed to serving our community with fresh ingredients, herb based recipes and nutritionally balanced meals to promote optimal development for our children and staff. Jana strives to limit the amount of processed food that enters our facility and is motivated to educate self & others, in the growing changes such as food allergies and sanitation practices to ensure safety in the environment. Jana occasionally joins the children for lunch to reflect on whether improvement is needed. She encourages children and staff to try new things and will vary the menu to include fresh and seasonal items. Jana supports opportunities for our staff to perform cooking projects/nutritional activities with the children and presents food in an appealing way when served. Congratulations Jana!
