Today Lost WM Pets received its 500th like! I’m thrilled to have reached this milestone (and on a day I feel is auspicious for a few reasons.) A little over three years ago my beautiful cat Stachie went missing. I did everything I could think of to find him and quickly became disheartened with the overwhelming task. I printed flyers, went door-to-door, put up signs, posted on Craigslist and tried posting to various lost pet sites. I then found and posted to a few lost pet pages on Facebook and while they are wonderful and supportive, I felt like the pages reached too broad an audience to help me. So the idea to start a lost pet page just for West Milford was born. Although I still havent found my sweet boy, knowing that this page may have played a small part in reuniting other pets with their families has been truly rewarding . Witnessing the power of social networking when people spread the word about a lost pet is a daily reminder of the caring people that live in and around West Milford. Thank you to all of you that follow the page, share posts and even go out to help look when a pet goes missing. Without your efforts Lost WM Pets would be nonexistent. ***As a favor, I am asking that each of you, please use the suggest feature to recommend that one Facebook friend like the page so that this network can become an even stronger and more valuable resource for the community*** Im looking forward to seeing more pets and families reunited in the future.
