Today Ma was outside with slobbery beasts and it was warm day. The trout in pond jumping all the way out of water to catch bugs. It was fun for slobbery beasts to watch. They got all excited when watching trout leaping and start running around pond to other side then run back and out on sand bar then back to shore and around again. Ma having a lot of fun watch they hunting trout. Boonie would come by Ma and look at her and she would tell him, Go get it! Then he would run around the pond some more. He was having so much fun. Then he decide he really want to swim with trout. Boonie first learn how to swim last week and was very tentative about try it since his first time. Today he was on sand bar and walk in up to his neck in water and take a few strokes before turn around. Ma was so happy he trying. The next time he try swim Ma tell him what a good boy he was. Soon he was swim from sand bar to shore. Then he swim from shore to sand bar. Then he see trout jump in deep part of pond and swim across pond to other shore. Ma telling him how good he was every time he swim. Soon he swimming just for the fun of swim. He was like Boonie Gump. Ma yell, Swim Boonie! Swim! and he did. After he start he want swim everywhere. He try swim from sand bar, swim from shore, swim in circle, swim everywhere. Then he come to Ma so proud of heself and shake pond water all over Ma! Ma tell he Go get it Boonie! and he go back and swim some more. He was swim so much Ma start get concerned he getting tired so she tell him to settle down and take a rest. He young and run everywhere so he not want to rest. He want to swim! Ma say Bella is chicken dog. She run on sand bar and watch he then run around pond to where he was going and wait for he to get there. She want to play with he but he not want to play. He want to swim so he would jump back in. Bella came to Ma to get help make Boone stay out of pond but Ma tell her she should try swim. Bella say she not like feel nothing under feet. She not mind getting all wet running in shallow parts up to chest but she want feel the ground under the water. One time she fall in pond on steep bank and have to swim so she can but she choose not to. Maybe if Ma go in with her she would gain confidence. She might just be a creek dog and not a pond dog. I was look out window watch Boonie swim and Bella watch he and run around on shore. I think Bella the smart one! When I a kitten I fall in pond while splore around on big rock next to shore that was jut out in pond. I was think pond was solid like land then. I probably two or three month old and already Adventurecat but not ever have experience with creek or pond. I step off of rock to walk on pond and kerplunk! Ma haul me out with leash. I was wear harness and leash even when I little. It a good thing. I try to swim but was panic so not very good at it. When I get out I disgust at that drat pond! How dare it not be solid when I step but it was when I watch skimmer bugs go all over surface. Then I go out on rock again and they walk right up next to where I stand on rock. They tease me and want me to come play with they but I not fall for they tricks after that. They must have tiny boats on they feet. They not kerplunk like cat do!
