Today Maddie & Emmie celebrate 90 days here on earth with mommy and daddy, Remember yesterday I said the girls had their awful eye test.... well guess what? It was wonderful!!!!! The girls eye retina issues have resolved themselves. Today was a great day of realization for us....Dr s and nurses came in and talked to us .... even if they went assigned to us today...I think there must have been a review on the girls and with the results of todays eye report they shared their thoughts...They told us how lucky we were that with the girls weighing in at 1#11 oz. and 1# 14oz that they are so perfect... No brain bleeds, no heart or organ problems, their eyes are even developed ...They said their heads are perfectly shaped, which is uncommon for a preemie....the Dr credited that to the fact we are always holding them! Ah the gift of love. We were just muddling along not totally aware of the full miracles going forth....until so many professionals came to us today with such awe of their accomplishments.. one nurse said.. of all the issues preemies face your girls have reflux ..and they will outgrow that! (Plus Emmies swallowing problems that she will out grow). With all that being being said lets give credit where credit is due... we all have become like family, and you have shared these girls in your prayers...there was an army of angels working on their behalf...if anyone ever had any doubts about the power of prayer I hope you can see what God is capable of if we but ask. God will never interfere in our life...he gives us free agency... he just waits for us to ask...I have heard it said that prayer opens the door for God to act in our behalf... Thank you all for asking in our behalf to heal the needs of these beautiful girls! Today they had physical therapy, they will have it again Friday, and Emmie has another swallow test Friday...other than that we will just sit back and watch these girls grow...holding them off course so their heads remain so perfect....only reason :) Weigh in tonight: Emmie weighs exactly....drum roll.......6lbs Maddie........5lbs 15 oz We are blessed.....
