Today, Officer Jordan Ziebarth joined thousands of police officers from across the nation to honor Officer Rafael Ramos. Jordan did this on his own and wasn’t looking for any accolades from our department. Jordan left flowers at the site where the officers were murdered and attended the funeral. Thank you Jordan for representing Cottage Grove and paying your respects to the officers and family and friends. While words cannot express how each of us is feeling right now, please know that the support we have in Cottage Grove is amazing. We know that there are many dangers in law enforcement but knowing the community supports you is another reason we do this job. Thank you.
