Today, Pampa TX Police responded to a call for a disturbance at the 500 block of Nelson St. Upon arrival, a Pampa Police Officer who approached the door was acutely shot in the face. The shooter then barricaded inside the residence. Amarillo PD Bomb Squad, SWAT and APD Mobile Command was setup to assist Pampa PD in the stand-off. In the last few minutes, the stand-off has been concluded and the subject is in custody. The Pampa Police Officer was airlifted from the site at the onset, remaining in the hospital at this time. Names and the Officers current medical status are not provided until families are notified and the scenes are all cleared. Its a full-blown War on Police Brothers and Sisters! Heads up, Eyes open! Cover each others 6! And dont start second guess yourselves. Shoot first, ask questions later. Make sure everyone is going home to their families. Its better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.
