Today, September 17th, there are many famous people and infamous that it is their birthdays. But I would like to honor two of my favorites, the first one was am English actor, he also was a film director, photographer and a voice artist. He began his long acting career as a child, his first well-known film appearance was at the age of 12, playing Huw Morgan in a 1941film, but his second film made him a household name and introduced a girl who would become his lifelong friend. But to the science fiction fans he is well remembered for his performance (in heavy makeup) in Planet of the Apes. HAPPY BIRTHDAY….Roderick Andrew Anthony Jude McDowall (September 17, 1928—October 3, 1998) My second Happy Birthday goes to an American actress, who was associated with the method acting school and was often acknowledged for her work in film, theatre and television, wining over her life time many awards. Her film debut was in 1952, followed by a string of supporting rolls and wining an Academy for Best Actress in a 1962 film. Many remember in a 1967 American comedy-drama film directed by Mike Nichols, based on a 1953 novel by Charles Webb. She has played a doctor, a num, and a queen, but I remember her most in a wonderful 1984 American comedy-drama film called “Garbo Talks”, about a young son who sets out to fulfill his Jewish mother dying wish to meet Garbo, who is a know recluse.
