Today, The Huffington Post published an article insinuating that feminist extremists are influencing the way the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are thinking. I want you all to know that the opposite is true. Kate Kelly, the leader of Ordain Women, has been excommunicated. She is no longer a member of the Church, because she chose to speak and publicly persuade others to attempt to influence the Brethren to somehow arbitrarily change the doctrine, seeking to counsel the Lord their God. Thats not how the Church works. Sister in the Church have, and always will be, equally yoked with the men as disciples of Jesus Christ. Gender is simply a deciding factor in roles and duties, not in privilege or praise. Equal does not mean identical. Never mistake the many, varied, and quite confused voices of the world as ones that understands this principle of truth and light. And never, ever, ever, for a moment, think that the Church will change with the times and demands of the unrighteous. It will stay true in its course, which is the living truth of the Savior Jesus Christ.
