Today UNHCR launched a super important campaign to end an awful reality for over 10 million people out there: statelessness. To be stateless is to be a legal ghost. If youre denied a nationality, it probably means you are leading a life without education, without medical care, or legal employment. Its inhumane. In addition, 27 countries forbid women the right to pass on their nationality to their children on the equal basis of men, which is a big reason why a child is born stateless every ten minutes.
