Veronica will some day find out exactly what her adoptive parents did to her and learn that her real father fought desperately for her. The fact that she is Native is a very small part of this issue at the moment. She is a human being who has been loved and cared for by here Dad and stepmother and she NEVER should have been returned to her adoptive parents! She does not know them and was with 2 people who loved and cared for her the last two years. Can anyone imagine the courts coming into your home, taking your child and giving that child to adoptive parents because they had had her at 4 months of age and felt they had a RIGHT to her? Now to continue, imagine when she is old enough to look in the mirror and realize that she looks different and then has access to the computer and finds out that she was ripped from her real Daddy. This is when she will begin to mourn the loss of her real identity, which is so very important. No adoptive parents can give her her heritage! I just hope and pray this child WILL remember her DAD and stepmom and I hope that her adoptive parents will pay the price for what they have done to this child. Adoption is for children who do not have biological parents who are capable of raising them. Veronica had a father who was very capable. To the adoptive parents I say, you should have let her go and adopted a child that truly needed to be adopted! If you think you have won you are very wrong indeed. You WILL one day lose this child back to her real parents when she is old enough to go back without the courts interfering, and that hopefully will be in about 14 years.
