Today a few people in different places asked me about Chariots for Charity! Even my mom in-law called to ask for flyers to hand out and every time I tell the story of Chariots for Charity I get goosebumps all over again! This is such an amazing initiative! WE as the Helderberg Community can make the most incredibly impact on the work and capacity of the charities in the area! No longer do I need to sit and wonder or call around to find the right charity to give something to. I dont know about you but I dont have the time to go find which charity can use my kids cardboard books or wooden puzzles, or which one will possibly need the bird seed or the wrong shampoo I bought 3 mths ago! I dont have the time to find out which charity needs what when I clear out the clutter in my house (and get hubby to clear out the garage!) This is what makes this event so simple but profoundly awesome! We can take all our stuff that just gathers dust and use it to help so many others. The kids too-small-bikes and playdough sets, the clothing and shoes, the sleeping bags and extra stationery, and ESPECIALLY any toiletries, textbooks and school clothes or sport equipment - they can all find a better home where they can help a charity help the people who want to get up out of their circumstances. So come and bring your stuff and give to a charity that really will use it! Give responsibly and make a difference, rather than continue the perpetual cycle of dependence.
