Today a group of adventurous residents set out to explore the Gilbert Historical Museum. And while this prompted some of their own memories….it certainly made a wonderful new one! Come and enjoy a rich slice of Arizona history at the Gilbert Historical Museum, located in the Heritage District of Gilbert, Arizona. We’ve been at the heart of the Gilbert community since we opened our doors in 1982. Our building, the original Gilbert Elementary School was built in 1913 and sits proudly on the National Register of Historic Places. A repository of artifacts and archives chronicling Gilberts rich history, we’ve been welcoming visitors to our exhibits for nearly 30 years; inviting guests to explore our past, experience the present, and imagine our future. We’re committed to preserving the past, honoring the present, and contributing to the future of Gilbert.
