Today, a special day. Ashley called yesterday and said she is coming to visit me. The FIRST visit in 15 years. I needed to be thankful, not afraid, be composed, wondering if I would shed a tear of happiness ( I didnt) but started the day off with 9 am mass. I wanted to go out to eat, have a full stomach, but after church, I was thankful because the church surprising us all had prepared a breakfast of pancakes,bacon, sausage, coffee/juice cookies and bread. I saved a few dollars, I was spiritually nourished, and then ate. I came back to the residence, started loading up 20 bags of groceries that I had set aside to give to my daughter, and had told her that before she left, that I had a frozen turkey, frozen chicken, hot dogs, and a few other goodies. We met, had lunch with a good friend, and visited for hours, catching up on 15 years of lost time together. No tears, just smiles, and a good time. I definitely have grown out of my shirt (sorry to say) and yes I need a haircut, but Ashley loves me just as I am. We then had to focus on PAS, parental alienation syndrome where one parent alienates the child against the other. I had already made up my mind about my daughter, I wasnt going to bad mouth the ex, Ashley just turned 24 on 8th March, and sad to say, like me Eileen ruined her credit with fraud credit card applications as well. She is on a tight budget drives 80 miles one way to work, and spends a lot on gas so I got her a $60.00 gift card from Safeway, and put $40.00 in her gas tank. We sat, we talked, we prayed, and there is NO animosity between either of us. Ashley made her decision about her mom, and that is it, no contact so be it. Eileen is in a place where she can no longer hurt anyone anymore. Enjoy the pictures, I love my daughter, and she loves me, and that is what counts. Ashley has her POST (peace officers standards and training certificate) which is required to be a police officer. I will help her get her credit fraud cleaned up. She purchased a used former California Highway patrol vehicle, LOADED, and she gets good gas mileage on the freeway. I invited my friend Mary, and friend Jimmy to come and meet my daughter. They are both residents of the complex and simply wonderful people. I am blessed. I have my daughter back, and Ashley has her father back. A blessed day indeed:) prayers answered love to all, Vincent
