Today a talk named Turn Up Our Volume: The Female Voice in the Advertising World, given by Lindsay Daniels and Goldie Jones at #GGC14, brought my attention to two commercials that have been released over the past year: one by Pantene, and one by Always. The speakers compared the advertisements to commercials made by the same companies 10 years ago (think back - Pantene had lots of shiny hair flipping, Always had made-up women pouring blue liquid on a white fabric). I hadnt seen the ads before (no cable TV) and was really impressed by the progress these two companies have made in their advertising (even if the changes are really only in place for financial gain).
