Today after the lecture by Kathy Puffer to launch our Mercy Center - TopicsExpress

Today after the lecture by Kathy Puffer to launch our Mercy Center for Sustainable Practice with Saul Fisher from the Provosts office as our first guest speaker in our series, I bought the three tower starter kit for about $1700 for my own home so our Envisaj club members and I can set it up hands on and share it with our fellow students before the end of the semester and hopefully get some results from using the fertilizer created by our Mercy IBC biodigester (if it thaws in time now that the polar vortex is moving away finally! We are cursed that we lost our indoor lab at Mercy after the summer!!). In any event, the Hudson Valley Vertical Farms, Inc. Tower Garden Ive bought will be our way of replicating the home scale biogas/hydroponics solution our students from Envisaj - The Mercy College Environmental Sustainability and Justice Club and Psy 295 Psychology of Environmental Sustainability and Justice saw with Yair Teller and Oshik Efrati and Erez Lanzer and Tal Eilon at Eco-Gas Israel on our winter break trip. And thanks to Kathys presentation of this great aeroponics technology today to the campus, our Center is officially launched, featuring the low hanging fruit of sustainability -- biodigestion of food wastes transformed back into food through aerponics!
