Today afternoon we had a fruitful meeting with H.E HASSAN ALI JOHO (MSA GOVERNOR) - COUNTY 001 Among other issues we discussed and agreed on the following. 1. Establishment of a Governors Award for rewarding best inventions and talents in TUM and other campuses in Msa County. 2. Increament of Bursary and scholarships allocation p.a from Msa Government budget from the current 1.34 M to 3.24 M. This will see TUM get 50 p.c of this amount as the largest University in the County. 3. An MOU btn Msa County govt and TUMSO. This will involve engagement in HR to the County Govt as well as Attachment/Internships for TUM students. 4. Establishment of an regular Consultative Forum with University students as far as County Development is concerned. 5. Improvement of Security around the Main Campus especially Kiziwi liqour den. This includes increament of security lights and proper maintainance of the existing ones. 6. Taming of County Askaris who are fond of arresting Comrades. No student will ever be arrested by a county askari. 7. Support of TUMSO Tuck Shops Project by Donation of Containers to establish the same. 8. His input in the current EBK stand off. He will be meeting Coast VCs over the weekend to discuss challenges. GOD BLESS TUMSO; GOD BLESS MSA COUNTY GOVT.
