Today, alternative rock band Broken Bells releases their second album After the Disco four years after the release of their self-titled debut. Broken Bells is a duo composed of producer Danger Mouse Official and The Shins James Mercer. Their new album was available for streaming last week through iTunes and I was able to give it a listen. I enjoyed the album and I really like the artwork of the release as well. The contrast between the hazy touches of cool colors and the pink person and disco ball overhead make for a nice cover. The album is easy on the ears, relaxing, and many of the songs on the album are memorable even after a first listen. In the (hopefully) near future, Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) is also producing U2s upcoming album (their song Invisible is currently available for free on iTunes).
