Today an apparent little elf left us a large, beautiful surprise Christmas package on our front porch straight from Santa himself! Inside was a wish for our family to be able to still find our Christmas spirit despite the continued flood recovery and all of our lost holiday decor. Inside were decorations and things to encourage us to muster up our cheer. What I want to thank our Secret Santa for besides the gifts, is also the reminder to BELIEVE. We have and continue to Believe ever since those first troves of elves came in the very first days after the flood and still seem even now to magically appear, and always at just the right time, just as they did again somehow today. Thank you Secret Santa for showing us today that there never can be a year to just skip over Christmas as we had planned, the spirit of giving is in us and with all of us each and everyday.
