Today, and every day, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve a community whose stories I proudly share in Washington. They are stories of strength, solidarity, hope and hard work. It is a community that volunteers to ensure that children have excellent schools; pays tribute to the sacrifices of our veterans and their families; lends a hand to our seniors; opens its doors to strangers in need, whether from across the street or across a continent; and even bands together to rebuild in the aftermath of a tornado. Thank you for always inspiring me to go work to fight for you. Happy Thanksgiving.
