Today, as I conclude my 2014 years reading of Scripture, in the Old Testament book of Malachi, and the New Testament book of Revelations, Christs presence within me, counsels me to welcome the wisdom of a few passages from these 2 Scripture Books (Msg translation ), to escort me into the New Year of 2015. I share them with you, as a New Years gift: ... There are people who know how to worship me all over the world, who honor me, by bringing their best to me (Malachi 1). Return to me, so I can return to you, says the God of the Angel Armies... Once more, youll see the difference it makes between being a person who does the right thing and one who doesnt, between serving God and not serving Him (Malachi 3). Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making His home with men and women. Theyre His people, Hes their God...( And He says to us) Look! Im making everything new (Revelation 21). The Angel continued, Time is just about up...let the righteous maintain a straight course and the holy continue on in holiness.. Im A to Z, the First and the Final, Beginning and Conclusion...He who testifies to all these things says it again, Im on my way! Ill be there soon! Yes! Come, Master Jesus! The grace of the Master Jesus be with all of you. Oh, Yes! (Revelation 22). The very helpful counsel I receive, from reading these specific passages, include: counting on & truly trusting Gods abiding Presence, amidst all that happens to me and around me ; knowing goodness and choosing Gods good, makes all the difference, not only in my personal life, but in the witness, encouragement and counsel it offers others, in my arc of influence; and thirdly, never lose my sense of faith and expectancy, that Jesus is returning, that His Second Coming will be as much a surprise, & will make all the incredible difference, to both heaven and earth, as did his first coming!! These things shared are not secrets. They are generous-&-costly revelation. And since they are from God Himself, it behoves us, to take them to heart, to hospitably-&-graciously share them, & to live them truthfully in our lives, in our ways of loving, serving & maturing. Reflectively and convictingly shared, with you, my fellow Pilgrim persons of the faith / Facebook friends. Love, Pastor Joe
