Today as I scolded the table to use in putting up corn, I was reminded of all the names under it. It has been in my family for generations. Every ten years or so it has to be leveled. Those who helped to fix it has their names and the date wrote were you can only see it if you take it apart again. I am mostly reminded of shelling peas when I was little. All the girls would gather in the living room of our house, spread the sheets out as the boys would bring in the peas. I can still see clear as if it was yesterday my granny sitting there telling stories and smiling as she out shelled us all. HAPPY MEMORIES.
