Today as I think of mothers and this day designated to them, I think of ALL the important mother figures in my life. I have been lucky to have had many mothering influences in my life. I have my own lovely Mom, Betty McDonough who I miss daily. My Walton mama, Michael Learned, who has taught me so much and I adore. I have adopted many Mamas in my life. I am lucky that way. I have had so many influential, intelligent, loving, educational, warm, kind and giving mothers in my life. Because of that fortune, I have always tried to be a and mothering influence on young people I meet. From my kids friends to my step daughters, cousins and goddaughters. So, to all of you are mothers, and those who may not be birth mothers but are mothers just the same, Happy Mothers day to all! I toast and celebrate you!! Have a wonderful day!
