Today as I was driving in my area I stopped to allow a lady to cross the road (as she was already half way across) and was startled at how aggressively the man behind beeped his horn at me. He was even more annoyed that I didnt make it through the lights but I wouldnt have got through anyway as traffic didnt allow. I watched him through my rear view mirror as he vigorously waved his hands and I read his lips as he reeled off a bunch of words beginning with F... Now, anyone who has driven with me will probably know I dont take too kindly to horn beeping generally, but I was particularly annoyed this time, mainly because his horn was suggesting that I should put this other womans life in danger because he felt he had somewhere more important to go... It made me think about impatience and how destructive it can be. How many times do we (literally or figuratively) run other people down, mash things up and cause casualties because we let impatience get the better of us? What a mess we make when we just cant wait... Slow down...
