Today as I was pulling into the parking lot at Ingles I noticed a gentleman who looked to be in his 80s wondering in the parking lot with bags in hand and looking very distressed.As I was parking I observed person after person pass him,all looking at him but not speaking.I got out of my car and walked over to where he was and ask him if he was ok,did he need some help with something.With watering eyes he looked up and said, I cant seem to find my car,I have been looking but I can not find it I smiled at him and told him it was more than likely just hiding from him and I ask him what it looked like and I told him that I would help him search.He smiled and we walked for a minute,and then we found his car.He thanked me for stopping and helping him,and I thanked him for the walk and he giggled and we parted ways.I am telling you this because it took me longer to type this story than it did to stop and help him.People....open your eyes to the things that are going on around you,are we in such a hurry these days that we can not take a few minutes to help someone.It did not cost me anything to stop,and the moments just those few moments I spent with that gentleman are more precious to me than gold.
