Today as an organization we are faced with a tragedy of the worst - TopicsExpress

Today as an organization we are faced with a tragedy of the worst kind. An accident has taken our precious Sebastian from us. The gate to a securely fenced pool was left open for a few brief moments and Sebastian fell into the water and drowned. We cannot comprehend the magnitude of this profound loss. The suffering, shame and pain is more than the foster family can bear. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness and confusion we feel. As volunteers of a rescue organization, we strive to provide the best care and foster homes for all the pugs we take in. Because we are human beings, mistakes can be made and accidents happen. We are not perfect, nor do we profess to be, we just do our best. We can choose to either learn from our mistakes and misfortunes, or we can sit at our computers and judge the people who either made the mistake or experienced the misfortune. I ask that each and every one of us try to imagine for just a moment how Sebastians foster family feels right now. There is no should have, could have, or would have that they are not bombarding themselves with today. If you must post to our site in regards to Sebastians passing, could you please search for the compassion in your hearts you would want shown to you if it was your dog who passed? We all have had instances in our lives that we wish we could do over and do differently. Hindsight is 20/20. Our foster parents do the best they can and we can only learn from our mistakes and move forward. May peace come from the memories and love we all shared for this little pugs soul, we called Sebastian and comfort us in the days ahead. This is a time for healing.
